Ascendant Grooves for two pianos is a new composition embodying the irrepressible spirit of all those who have fought against Covid. Written during the pandemic, its catchy rhythmic chords and riffs spin and churn, giving each pianist equal play in the fabric of the sonic tapestry. The work is composed in three main sections, and employs aspects of minimalism, jazz, and other modernistic elements.
